Back to School 2024 Recap

In August 2024, Silent Americans ("the Charity") raised funds for its second event, donating school supplies for students in the Essex County, New Jersey area.

On August 23rd, 2024, the Charity partnered with the Human Needs Food Pantry located in Montclair, New Jersey, to help them pack backpacks for students ranging from preschoolers to seniors in high school in the Essex County area. The Human Needs Food Pantry needed one-subject notebooks, composition notebooks and bottles of Elmer's glue in order to fill the rest of their backpacks. The Charity was able to purchase 60 one-subject notebooks, 60 composition notebooks, and 60 bottles of Elmer's glue. A picture of the school supplies the Charity purchased can be found below:

With the help of Silent Americans, the Human Needs Food Pantry was able to pack about 650 backpacks to give out to students in the Essex County area. The students picked the backpacks up at the Human Needs Food Pantry office in Montclair, New Jersey.

With a very successful first Back to School event, the Charity is excited to partner and work with the Human Needs Food Pantry for events in the future.
